TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. DEFINITIONS
In these terms and conditions, the following expressions shall have the following meanings unless the context requires otherwise:
  1. "you" and "your" means the person, the partnership or company ordering the goods under these terms and conditions;
  2. "Us" and "We" means landorbooks.co.uk;
  3. "Delivery" shall mean completion of goods at the location directed by you to us.
  4. "the Goods" means the goods, materials, parts or other things to be supplied by us to you;
  5. "the Price" means the sum stated on the order of all trade, credit card and other discounts and exclusive of value added tax;
  6. "Working day" means every day of a calendar year apart from weekends and statutory and public holidays
2. THE CONTRACT BETWEEN US
landorbooks.co.uk must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received, landorbooks.co.uk will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an e-mail to you at the e-mail address you provide in your order form. landorbooks.co.uk's acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
 
3. AVAILABILITY OF GOODS YOU ORDER
  1. If landorbooks.co.uk has insufficient stock to deliver goods ordered by you, any amount debited by landorbooks.co.uk from your credit card will be re-credited to your account and landorbooks.co.uk will notify you by post, fax, telephone or e-mail at the contact details you supplied in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of the acceptance of your order landorbooks.co.uk will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
  2. In the event you e-mail landorbooks.co.uk with a selection which is out-of-stock, we will hold your order and despatch when publication becomes available.
4. PRICE
  1. The prices payable for goods that you order is set out in our Web site.
  2. You will be required to pay extra for urgent orders you wish to be delivered by courier and the like.
5. WITHDRAWAL BY YOU FROM THE CONTRACT
  1. You may withdraw your order for goods at any time up to the end of the fifth working day after you make your order even if you have then already received the goods. If you are returning the goods, please state any reason of withdrawal.
  2. The only circumstances in which you cannot withdraw your order are where you have taken the goods you have ordered (or the ones in relation to which you want to withdraw) out of the sealed package in which they were delivered.
  3. To withdraw your order you must notify landorbooks.co.uk by e-mail or in writing at the address set out in Section 11 of these terms.
  4. If you have received the goods before you withdraw your order then, unless you have lost your right to withdraw because you have taken the goods out of their sealed package, you must send them back to landorbooks.co.uk contact address (see 'How to Order') at your own cost and risk. If you withdraw your order but landorbooks.co.uk has already processed the goods for delivery, you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to landorbooks.co.uk to landorbooks.co.uk contact address (see 'How to Order') at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
  5. Once you have notified landorbooks.co.uk that you are withdrawing your order, any sum debited to landorbooks.co.uk from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by landorbooks.co.uk in the condition they were in delivered to you
No returns for credit can be accepted unless landorbooks.co.uk has supplied incorrectly, or the goods have been damaged.
DAMAGED GOODS should be returned to landorbooks.co.uk and you will be sent a replacement copy.
Authorisation to return for credit must be obtained prior to returning goods.
Always quote invoice number on correspondence or with returns.
 
6. DELIVERY OF GOODS TO YOU
  1. landorbooks.co.uk will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give landorbooks.co.uk for delivery at the time you make your order.
  2. Delivery will be made as soon as possible after your order is accepted and in any event within 30 days of your order.
  3. You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been paid and delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you, they will be held at your own risk and landorbooks.co.uk will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
PLEASE NOTE ORDERS ARE ONLY DISPATCHED ON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT
OR IF AN OFFICIAL PURCHASE ORDER IS SUPPLIED AND ACCEPTED.
 
7. LIABILITY
  1. If the goods landorbooks.co.uk delivery are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, landorbooks.co.uk shall have no liability to you unless you notify landorbooks.co.uk in writing at the landorbooks.co.uk contact address of the problem within 10 working days of the delivery of goods in question.
  2. If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, landorbooks.co.uk shall have no liability to you unless you notify landorbooks.co.uk in writing at the landorbooks.co.uk contact address of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
  3. If you notify a problem to landorbooks.co.uk under this condition, landorbooks.co.uk only obligation will be, at its option:
    i. to make good any shortage or non-delivery if it is at fault
    ii. to replace any goods that are damaged or defective once blame has been attributed.
    iii. o refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way landorbooks.co.uk chooses.
  4. landorbooks.co.uk will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to landorbooks.co.uk under this condition and landorbooks.co.uk shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph [c] above.
  5. Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit landorbooks.co.uk liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
landorbooks.co.uk shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
 
8. INVALIDITY
If any part of these conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which landorbooks.co.uk excludes its liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
 
9. GOVERNING LAW
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law, and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
 
10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These terms and conditions, together with the current landorbooks.co.uk prices, delivery details and landorbooks.co.uk details, set out the whole agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by landorbooks.co.uk.
No variation to these terms shall be binding unless agreed in writing between the authorised representatives of landorbooks.co.uk and the customer.

INSPECTION COPIES
  1. Inspection copies for Landor titles are sent out at your request and may be retained for a maximum of one month. We would appreciate if you would be so kind to forward a printed copy of the reviews upon publication. Review copies for non-Landor publications are available direct from the publishers and we are able to provide you with contact details if needed.
  2. Adoption and recommendation in Universities, Colleges and Schools: if you are adopting a book or recommending it to your students and are confident that this will result in a purchase by your company/ organisation/ institution or your students of at least 10 copies, you may retain the inspection copy Free of Charge providing you return the attached questionnaire giving details of the adoption.
  3. If you would like to purchase the book, please forward your remittance with the invoice or quoting the inspection copy invoice number.
  4. If you are returning an item (s) you should send it back to landorbooks.co.uk with the invoice.

Landorbooks.co.uk is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. This privacy policy (the"policy") sets out the type of information that we collect, what we use it for and the rights that you have in relation to this information. By using this website you accept the terms of the Policy.
 
COLLECTION AND USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
In order to constantly improve our supply of products we may monitor your use of the web site. Any reports that we generate will not identify you or any personal information about you.
If you submit personal information, such as your (name, email address and telephone number ("Customer Information"), to us either by completing a registration form or by placing an order for products offered throughout the web site, we will make a record of it.
We use customer information for the following purposes:
  • To enable us to fulfil orders for products

We will not retain any of your payment details once the transaction is fully completed.

You have the right to access any information we hold about you and to have any errors corrected. If you do not wish to receive promotional material from us from us please email us at books@landor.co.uk or write to us at the address in Section 11. Furthermore, you can use the aforementioned addresses if you would like us to remove all customer information we have about you from our records.
 
SHARING CUSTOMER INFORMATION
We reserve the right to release information when we believe that release is appropriate in order to comply with the law, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
